I, Kiwinewt, am a TechnoHippy.

Technohippies are a breed of their own. They are not malicious, but only interested in the way things work. They have a broad wisdom of many different technologies. Ignorance and hatred is looked down upon by the technohippy. The technohippy embraces the environment and will do as much as they can to protect it and help it flourish. All in all, a technohippy is a philosophically-open eccentric geek.

Life Update

Posted by kiwinewt on 16 February, 2010

So, you may have noticed (if you do) that I kinda failed on my Project365. It’s because I ended up having a couple of grumpy days that I didn’t want to remember, with lots of MrGrumpyNate. Thankfully I got over these, but haven’t had the time, energy or enthusiasm to get back into taking photos.
Why?
Because [...]

New Year, New Blog

Posted by kiwinewt on 1 January, 2010

Well.
Kiwinewt.Geek is no more. Well… as a blog it is no more. As a company it is now going strong.
I have decided to move my blog over to Technohippy.geek.nz because I thought it more suited where I am, where I want to be and how I am going to get there.

Its quiet… Too quiet…

Posted by kiwinewt on 20 October, 2009

At the moment I have been a bit busy with things around life that have been taking up too much time. One of these is getting business issues, such as marketing, sorted.
I am, however, getting on top of these again now and will get into development as soon as I am able. Tonight I even [...]

Dear Wellingtonians…

Posted by kiwinewt on 2 March, 2009

I will be up for a few days (13-15 March) and will have 13/14th evenings free hopefully.
Anyone able to recommend anywhere to go? I *have* to get my hands on some epic ale at some point too…
Much thanks
Kiwinewt

New Design

Posted by kiwinewt on 26 January, 2009

As many of you may have seen (If you have ever visited my blog), I have implemented a new design. It’s still based on the good old wordpress backend but now is more oriented towards the business end of things (since I will be getting business traffic pointed here.
Yeah I know, I’m only a one-man [...]

Changes

Posted by kiwinewt on 5 December, 2008

Alright. After creating a new theme for the Rocket Boys website and finding it *really* easy to do, I have now gone and created my own theme for my website. It is based on the previous one that was on here, but I have tidied up the CSS, removed that annoying hover change on *everything* [...]

Umm… Help?

Posted by kiwinewt on 3 December, 2008

Does anyone know anything about running an independant contractor type business in NZ? I may be doing a whole heap of contract work and would be keen to start it all off on the right foot…
The sooner I can get this sorted the better…

Hmm…

Posted by kiwinewt on 25 September, 2008

I really need a surface, that can be relatively easily cleared of dust/debris (such as a wooden board) that is 1 meter wide and 2 meters long. I also need it to be light and to be easily storeable. It also has to be solid enough not to sag if light pressure is placed on [...]

Well…

Posted by kiwinewt on 5 September, 2008

Lets see. Whats happened in the last wee while…
I have come home early from Outward Bound – It wasn’t that I wasn’t learning anything or that I failed, it was that the challenges are just not things I really want to do, so my lack of motivation to do them was dragging me back. I [...]

The customary promise post..

Posted by kiwinewt on 6 August, 2008

Yeah yeah. I know, I really should start posting here more, given that I am paying for this domain, as apposed to posting to LJ by default. It crossposts there anyway so its more logical to do it here
So anyway, what have I been up to to date?

Started my final project for my [...]
