update: by prototyping board I actually mean breadboard. Like the ones that DSE have stopped selling…

I found a better use for the case previously featured. I have put another motherboard I had into it, a IDE RAID card and Ubuntu into it, and now I have a media server. This is, however, not a reason to stop modding it. More like a reason to mod it more, given that it will come lanning with me…

This is what I have accomplished today. Glued together and strengthened 3 drive plates, added 120mm blue fan, moved rear fan to front to blow over HDDs…

Still to do:

  • New PSU that has a fan on the bottom
  • Paint (dark/midnight blue) possibly paint chassis as well
  • 120mm fan grill
  • Cover up Raidmax fan sticker
  • Add more HDDs and a PCI SATA card
  • Air holes around power switch for front fan
  • Maybe a window, likely not
  • Possibly an 80mm dust-filter fan blowing into CPU on the side
  • Gigabit LAN
  • HDD LEDs
  • Rewire lighting to allow for it to be turned off!
  • HDD Mounts (4 drives, 3 bays, behind 120mm fan)

Edit: Added more stuff to list. I really want to have this done by next LAN…
